This Privacy Policy describes how SiteUnload collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our marketplace. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, password (stored hashed), and role.
• Profile information: company name, phone number, base ZIP code, and rating score.
• Listing information: titles, descriptions, photos, ZIP codes and approximate locations, and pricing details you submit.
• Identity verification documents: photo ID images uploaded by sellers to verify identity.
• Messages: content of communications between buyers and sellers, processed for anti-circumvention filtering.
• Payment information: handled by Stripe; SiteUnload does not store full card numbers. Stripe Connect account identifiers are stored on your profile to process payouts.
• Usage & analytics: device, browser, and activity data collected via Google Analytics 4 and Platform logs.

How We Use Your Information

• To operate the marketplace, listings, and escrow;
• To verify seller identity and display trust badges;
• To process payments and payouts via Stripe;
• To filter messages for safety and fee-circumvention prevention;
• To send transactional and account-related notifications;
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud and policy violations;
• To improve and analyze the Platform.

Identity Verification Data

Photo ID documents are collected solely to verify sellers' identities and enable the Verified Seller badge. Documents are reviewed by authorized administrators and stored securely. They are not made public and are not shared with other users.

Payment Processing

Payments and escrow are processed by Stripe. Card and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe under its own policies; SiteUnload receives only the identifiers needed to complete the transaction and issue payouts. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

How We Share Information

We share information only as necessary to operate the Platform:

• With Stripe to process payments and payouts;
• With Google Analytics for aggregate, pseudonymized analytics;
• With connected social media services (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) when you or the Platform publishes listings;
• When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SiteUnload and its users.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and analytics. Google Analytics 4 collects anonymized usage data to help us understand Platform usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

Data Retention

We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services and meet legal obligations. Identity verification documents are retained for the duration of your account and a reasonable period thereafter for fraud prevention.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You may update profile fields directly in your dashboard or contact support for assistance. Identity verification data may be retained where required by law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

SiteUnload is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Sellers must be at least 18 to list materials.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with an updated date.
